Hubby’s birthday is coming soon. I mean, it’s not until May. I may be a few months from now and I know how tough it is to decide what present to give to someone special. I had given him a pair of dress shoes, socks, tie and what not. Oh, I had given him a wristwatch too. How I wish I can give him another one. My son Casey is getting a good nap schedule. He still naps twice a day and for longer time like an hour to 2 hours a nap which is ideal for toddlers his age. I am glad he likes the playpen that my father fixed for him. He likes to be pushed around which makes him sleepy and gets rested really quick. Whenever he wakes up and still needs more sleep as soon as my mom moves the playpen again he gets back to snooze. I hope he will still have this habit when we return home. I would really be happy as i don't get anymore help by then.

My friend is getting married soon and I’m happy for her. I have been waiting for her to tell me the exact date of the wedding before I will finally be returning home. It’s good that I will still be here for that day and be able to see her in a wedding dress. I didn’t expect she will settle down yet as I didn’t know she has a boyfriend before I came in my hometown for a vacation.

It’s a good thing as well that I didn’t pursue changing my travel date back home earlier. I never thought she would consider me to light the candle on that day, too. It’s a pleasure and an honor to be there this coming February 16th . I can’t wait. It’s only a few weeks from now and she is sure busy with the preparation. After all, she only has few days to accomplish everything.

When I was pregnant my nesting instinct got to me in the later part which I think is normal for most moms. Let’s say, during my seventh month I got the hype of wanting to prepare everything for the coming of my son. I wanted to make sure all the clothes and beddings and all other stuff I got from the baby shower are washed and ready for the little one to use as soon as he is born. At that time, I was all too worried that we didn’t have the baby furniture ready. I felt like I was the only one who was eager to make the house as welcoming as can be for the baby as I thought hubby wasn’t a help at all. I knew it was a motherly nature. I was only trying to put things in place so when the baby arrives, I won’t be in such a difficult times. From choosing which among the baby cribs we saw is going to be perfect for the baby to picking the right car seat and stuff. It was an experience I couldn’t forget. It’s fun and exciting to be a mom, isn’t it?

My sister said she might not be home for the weekend. She is going to attend a seminar on Saturday and Sunday which is a requirement for the nursing students. That means I will not have a help when it comes to attending Casey. It can be frustrating most of the times when I am all alone with my son you know. As most moms would attest that attending to a 1 year old son can be a lot of work without someone’s assistance. Oh well, I think I can manage.

One of the few things that I look forward to in my return home is getting my license to drive. I know, I’ve been leaving this important thing behind for over a year since I had a baby. It just wasn’t easy to accomplish it considering that I don’t get any help besides hubby who is also busy with moneymaking during spring and summer. Had I not decided to take a vacation for this winter, I would have gotten my license in the later part of fall. Hubby is all excited to see Casey and me in March. I am all anxious to achieve something sooner too.

Anyway, I will be driving hubby’s present car which is fairly new (less than 3 years old if I’m not mistaken) and he will be using his old one for short trips around town and to and from work only. We are not getting a van or something big as he hates SUV’s like a lot of people think is a must-have for the family that others despise a great deal.LOL. Hubby is just being practical and besides, we only have one garage which is full of boxes at the moment. Perhaps, later on we will get a new car and I won’t mind a Dodge Charger since I know a good place to get the finest Dodge Charger accessories. I've been thinking things over whether to keep or not to keep blogging. I know it's been slow at my end in making updates. Besides complaining how slow my Internet connection is and that my carpal tunnel syndrome is attacking once again, it seems as if I have neglected so many things already just to get back on track. I have decided to try to return to my usual routine and never to stall it this instant or I'll regret it later on. I am afraid for that to happen. I hope I am not at all that left out. So, here I am again --- I'll patch up the pieces of my broken record. LOL.
