Spring Plungers, Anyone?

We need to go shopping for fall clothing. I really need a new wardrobe as I am already tired of the usual clothes I wear. LOL! If only I got all the money in the world I would be living in the mall everyday like it’s my own home. I will buy everything I like and never worry about getting broke. Whoaah! Well, life’s not fair. Even the richest people can’t get enough of their wealth. They still work hard to get even richer! I wonder if they know what spring plungers are! Hehehe Just a thought of it. I am not really into cars or car parts. If that’s what they’re for anyway!

Worldwide Day of Play on Noggin

My son is watching cartoons on NOGGIN and now its 12 noon and this Worldwide Day of Play is up until 3pm. He doesn’t want me to change the channel or else he will be furious. Nickelodeon and NOGGIN are dedicating those hours for parents to spend the time to play and get active with the pre-schoolers in the family. Obviously, my toddler is not old enough to understand what it means as he is only 20 months. Tomorrow he will be 21 months old. Anyway, I’ll just have to put up with the television for now. LOL! I have to read about orovo before giving him lunch. He seems to be having fun playing with his favorite toy plane anyway.

I Love Leather!

One of my weaknesses when it comes to shopping is handbags. I don’t just mean the handbags that you see in the department store selling for the most affordable prices. I am talking about designer handbags or purses. Such a shame indeed and I couldn’t afford them all. LOL! Well, I wouldn’t lose anything at all as I can always admire them without owning. I’ll eventually get tired of looking and liking them before I could even get my own. Hahaha!

Anyway, I just wanted to share what I am drooling over right this moment. It’s not the most expensive designer at all, but rather the fact that their handbags are made of leather I wanted to have one. I am talking about TANO handbags. Here’s one of the designs and styles that I really love to have --- she's a beauty, doesn't she?

Dragon Naturally Speaking: Improves Your Blogging

I’ve been complaining how much time blogging consumes most of my days. Don’t you feel the same? Believe me, it’s hard to put your thoughts into words most of the time especially when you have a lot of ideas going on your head. Sometimes I can’t even decide what and how to begin with in a particular topic. Is there a way to make blogging a lot easier these days? Let me answer that as a ‘yes’.

I found something that will make mine and your blogging a lot easier and even faster. I am talking about Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Standard software which basically is not just good for bloggers but as well as for business owners who want to work on documents, reports and e-mails much faster and not just that, it means tree times faster with 99% accuracy.

How does it work? Well, how long does it normally take you to type 150 words? If you can’t do it in 15 minutes, let this Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred do the job with 150 words per minute minus the effort. Well, that means hands-free. You say what you want and it will type those words for you. How cool is that?!

Just think about that carpal tunnel syndrome you acquired from typing a lot. This will improve your health, too. It doesn’t make a spelling mistake so it will definitely save your time a great deal and as you use it more often, it gets even more and more efficient, thus, smarter than ever! I can’t wait to have one. I am just amazed upon knowing that software like this actually exists. For more information, see NYT on Dragon or watch these videos and learn about the benefits of this cool software.

Velour Lady

It’s getting cooler and cooler these days weather-wise. It means out the summer getup they go and in the closet those velour pants and hoodies. I am a big fan of those actually. I want sweaters and jeans and what not. Now is the time to shop for that new addition for my wardrobe to enjoy this weather like I love it. LOL! So, I am going to have this lovely velour nowhere else than Victoria’s Secret in all colors. Well, maybe not. Grab yours for 2 for $60.

Fine, Sunny Day!

It’s a nice and sunny day today. I think we will try to get out later and enjoy this wonderful weather. Yesterday was a fine day as well but we had to do some errands. Pretty soon it will be getting colder as fall and winter are approaching. Those days are not going to be an outdoor friendly times. Well, seize the day while it’s at its best! Got to do some online trading for now!

Getting a driver's licnese one step at a time

I am so glad that I finally was able to take the eye and law test in order for me to get a driver’s license. I am now looking forward to my road test next month. I am proud of myself to have passed the first step. Thank God for giving me the wisdom and believe in myself in answering the 25 questions. I will have to practice again and build up my confidence since I really wanted to get a driver’s license.

It’s a big leap for me once I will be more independent and mobile when it comes to driving around town without having to wait for my husband. Staying at home all day everyday is sickening you know especially when you don’t have friends in the neighborhood. I just hope I will get what I wanted this time --- the license itself! Wish me all the luck in the world!

Exercise helps

It’s quite appalling to see that there are a lot of people out there that are experiencing weight problems. In fact, there are those individuals that need a serious intervention as surgery if the best diet pill is of no help at all. Some are really helpless and health problems can get complicated due to other concerns regarding the whole result of gaining so much weight. It should be a lesson for everyone to be cautious with the kind of food they take in and perhaps take advantage of exercise in order to avoid this kind of problem in the future.

Sleeping in his own bed

Casey doesn’t mind sleeping in his own bed anymore. It’s been going on like this constantly this week’s bedtime. He likes the independence in sleeping alone without soothing himself with my hair. He is all content with his stuffed toy or something that he likes to take with him in bed. He then soothes himself with it until he falls asleep. What a good boy he is!

We are so proud of him. Every morning, he then comes to our bed to snuggle. We still sleep in the same room though as I don’t think we are ready for him to be sleeping in his own bedroom. We are taking things one at a time here. It’s a matter of readiness. We just don’t want to rush things out just like potty training. LOL!

Dry skin needs a dehumidifier

Our son’s skin problem shows signs of eczema again. He has these spots where the skin gets really dry and itchy. He can’t stop scratching sometimes which can be alarming as it can bleed. We have yet to ask for another prescription for his skin problem since the first one was left in my parents’ house in my hometown back in the Philippines. I should have convinced hubby to buy one of those Ebac dehumidifiers as the Doctor suggested that long time ago. It will help easing the skin dryness for our son and the whole family. I will make sure we get it sooner or later.

Practice makes progress

Our son is progressing very well. He may be a little behind with language, but at his age he can comprehend what I tell him like responding when I call his name. He repeats some words he can speak easily like cheese, ball, and bye dad, among others. I bought him flash cards with photos of objects of the alphabet. He pays attention to me when I show them.

I can’t wait when he is finally talking and can fully express what he wants to tell us. It’s tough to understand him when all he does is whine because he still can’t speak to us. It will be a big leap for him to finally talk like a big person would. LOL!

Get your chopsticks ready!

Do you love computer games? How about video games? I am not really savvy when it comes to them but I sure do love to play whether video or computer games. It’s just entertaining especially when you have all day to waste. LOL! You can spend all your free time playing and be entertained. I guess there’s a certain high that you get from it especially when you’re a fanatic. Have you heard about the latest on DVD game called ScreenLife Game 'Banzai'? What is it all about? Well, here’s how to play the game.

---- All players watch stunts from acclaimed Super Banzai Video Show, then bet on the outcome of stunt. To bet, players race to fill the betting bowl using only chopsticks. Bowls are filled with sushi. Whoever wins all the sushi, wins the game. The rest are rubbish. ----

ScreenLife Games is at it again. They launched a new Banzai game. Check it out:

If you like to purchase this DVD, you can simply log on to Banzai.com or visit Tako’s MySpace profile http://www.myspace.com/takotheocto! You can also download the wallpapers or screensavers on their website if you like one. If I were to play this game, I’m going to challenge my brother who is a video game nut. He is one of those people who can sit all day for his favorite game. I’m sure this will be a fun one to play with him and we’ll see how cool this one is.

Out of town

We will be leaving tonight for a golf tournament that we volunteer annually in NY. It will be tomorrow and we don't want to be late as we travel for 2 hours to get there. We will be staying at our condo for the night since it's not rented yet. I will definitely be doing the packing before this day ends. It will be a busy day tomorrow.

I will be preparing the score board for the players, too. How I wish I can keep record of their scores as I normally would, but it will be different this year. I have a toddler to attend to. I just can't trust a sitter for him yet because he is quite a handful and I have only tried that once before when he was younger and cried the whole time. LOL!

Nautical Novelties and Supplies

Do you own a boat? Our friend has a boat. In fact, he lives in it. It’s big enough for a retired person like him with a girlfriend and a pet dog. We had the chance to stay in the boat with them when we had a vacation in Florida. They were docked in a marina for boat owners. They were on vacation at the time, too.

His boat has the nicest tide clocks. I learned that he bought it from AmericanMarineSupply.com! They are selling weather and maritime clocks that are sure must-haves for a yacht. Whether you need ships bell clocks, barometers, or thermometers, this is the place to get them. They offer free shipping on orders $200 and up. See for yourself the nicest maritime clocks only at americanmarinesupply.com.

Driving and Shopping

We are getting ready to go to the DMV right now. I hope I can get a driver's license very soon. I'm getting too impatient that until now I still don't drive. My driving lesson had to stop for a while now because my green card is still not here. I don't have an idea how long the wait is for the new card to come. Oh well. I can't wait to finally drive and be mobile. That means shopping whenever I want to, you know. LOL!

Labor Day is Over

I’m thinking about going out later today so my boy can play. I was going to do it yesterday but we never did because I had to do something else on the computer. The Labor Day went by like I never had a holiday. I’m sure that’s not unusual. I may not have a real job outside but being a mom is a 24/7 job itself. Don’t you think? Well, got to checkout about portable oxygen concentrator for now and will definitely go out a little later. See you later!

Orlando Vacations

Although a lot of people are not looking forward to the coming of winter, I am just the opposite. It’s the only time we get to enjoy one of our Orlando vacations. We will definitely be there this winter. Of course, we may not be going to Florida for its beaches and warmer climate for that season, we will certainly be taking advantage of the Disneyland adventure and visiting friends as well within the 2 months we are there. Well, we are planning in advance and we’ll see what it’s going to be like this time.
