Shop and save

My friend and I went shopping the other night. We love sales! When it comes to shopping, it's good to save some bucks by buying what is on sale especially in this economic situation. Being frugal is a must. We don't need the greatest and finest of everything anymore. It's about being able to set aside something for the rainy days. We don't know what the future brings especially when you have a family to take care of. The future is unknown to most people so even when you buy the things you normally use and need, it's a good practice to save a little.

Patio sets

Looking back at the old pictures last year, I realized this season's weather is not like it was. What we have right now is rather colder. The same date last year was sunny while today is cloudy and cold. Hubby keeps mentioning he would take his breakfast or brunch out at the patio to enjoy the weather outside especially when it gets warmer. But, not today. People have patio sets all ready for summer and not to mention barbecue parties are planned ahead. No wonder why everyone looks forward to the end of winter. Coming from a tropical side of the world, I now can relate to people who are struggling between seasons to really take their time to take advantage of the warmer days of spring, summer and early fall.

Short Vacay

I really enjoy the company of my friend and her daughter. I don't have friends nearby so it's a good thing we thought of getting together here in our place by inviting her for a week's vacay. It's a good chance for our kids to play together as well. I love the idea of having someone to think of as I get up in the morning since we usually don't have anything plan ahead when all I like to do is stay at home all day most of the time unless I feel like I need to get out to do some errands, go grocery shopping and bring lunch to my hubby at his workplace. I feel bad I don't like to bring my boy to the big playground as much I wanted to because he isn't ready for it yet. I think he likes the mall's playground better (smaller and safer) IMO. The mall is not very close to us so it takes some liking to actually drive that long just for him to play. We have a little slide at home anyway, but I do like him to interact with other kids.

Computer Memory

Our PC is more than 3 years old and it is about time we have to get and extra computer memory for it. So, we did. I decided on an external hard drive. I couldn't be happier since I was all worried about our photos should the computer crash on me. I got pretty big extra memory which I hope is worth it. I might have gotten bigger than I actually needed but at least I'm sure I don't run out again. Anyway, I am watching the Food Network again. I didn't for months since my son became interested in cartoons. I just don't know how the television in our bedroom can get the cable though I could use it but only with local channels.
